Requirements:

The Directed Energy Systems Software Branch (E14) at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is seeking Software Testing professionals to support the development, integration, and delivery of software products for Directed Energy weapons produced by the Aurora Software Factory. The Aurora Software Factory (ASF) is focused on developing fire control, safety and console system solutions used in both Laser and High-Power Microwave Weapon systems. The ASF team is responsible for the entire lifecycle of the systems it creates including design, development, testing, integration, delivery, and support. The ASF emphasizes a culture of collaboration and shared ownership of the products it develops with the goal of delivering software faster and more efficiently through extensive automation of development, testing and integration activities in a modern CI/CD pipeline.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 (GS-09/11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Engineer or Scientist applying a wide range of theories, concepts, principles, standards, and methods of engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science to design, develop, or test software products.

Qualifying experiences for this position may include:
1. Experience with requirements and test management tools such as Jira and Zephyr.
2. Experience designing or developing software using Java, JavaScript, or C++ in a Linux operating environment.
3. Experience in testing or integrating software intensive systems.
4. Experience of written and oral communication skills and the ability to positively interact with the customer and team members.
5. Experience using multiple testing methods.
6. Proficiency in creating and executing test plans, test cases, and test reports.
7. Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Appium, TestComplete, etc..
8. Knowledge or experience in Agile software testing methodologies.
9. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
10. Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-product environment is preferred.
