Description:
This vacancy is a REPOSITORY of applications (RESUME BANK), and applications may be reviewed when a vacancy arises during the open period and for up to 90 days after the closing date of this vacancy. This vacancy is opened until filled and applications will be pulled as vacancies arise. Depending on the series and/or office these position may be in the bargaining unit.
Requirements:
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of the functional activities and primary interfaces within the NRC sufficient to carry out the duties described above.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate information, ideas, and advice in a clear, concise, and logical manner, both orally and in writing, for a variety of complex technical and non-technical matters and stakeholder audiences.
- Analytical ability sufficient to plan, organize, and perform a variety of program and administrative management functions and activities involving competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with other division or office representatives in coordinating effort and building consensus.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is demonstrated experience applying an engineering or physical science background to provide technical support, advice, and guidance on program or policy planning, strategic planning, or performance management; analyzing and evaluating issues to manage and advance projects; and coordinating with other organizations (internal or external) to accomplish a range of activities, such as program management, resource assessment, scheduling, program evaluation, policy development, or technical reviews.
