THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a WG-5378-10 POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1561000 in FAC 44M200 and is part of the MO 239th Combat Communications Squadron.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: This is a Permanent Excepted Service position. This is a bargaining position.
Requirements:
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership. Selected candidate will be required to be in a compatible military assignment prior to effective date of placement. Selected candidate must be AFSC qualified within 12 months from date of appointment.
Enlisted - AFSC 2A3X3, 2A6X2, 3E090, 3E0X1 or 3E0X2
Supervisor must verify that selected individual occupies a compatible military position. Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (grade inversion).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates your knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrations, diagrams and schematics; and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment.
WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess 18months of specialized experience that demonstrates your ability to install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, modify and test various types of powered ground support equipment, air compressing, ventilation, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment. The specialized experience must also indicate that you have working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Must currently hold or have held AFSC 3E0X2 or 3E1X1.
This job does not have a qualification requirement that allows substitution of education for specialized experience.
