About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arnold Hall, Polaris Perk Coffee Shop at Air Force Academy, Colorado.
This position does not include benefits. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in and knowledge of methods and procedures relating to specialty coffee preparation or similar activity. Barista must have knowledge of variety of drink recipes and knowledge of coffee beans and teas typically served at a specialty coffee operation. Must be able to know how to safely use the equipment such an espresso machine. Must be able to memorize specialty coffee drink recipes. Must have the ability to hear and follow oral and or written instructions, work safely, and do simple arithmetic. Must be physically able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand, walk, stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training. Satisfactory completion of a preemployment physical is required. A Local Files Check (LFC) and National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) are required.
