THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1901000 and is part of the IL USPFO, National Guard.

Requirements:

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of considerations for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:

The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens.


Military Grades: Officer/Warrant Officer/Enlisted - not to exceed 2LT.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; and using computer and automation systems.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : GS-07 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes 12 months experience which has provided a working knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; and experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-06 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes 9 months of experience which has provided knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; and experience performing routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management. GS-05 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes 6 months of experience which has provided knowledge of standardized supply regulations, policies, procedures, or other instructions relating to the specific functions assigned; experience that demonstrates knowledge of one or more automated supply databases to enter and retrieve recurring reports; and experience using working knowledge of the structure of a supply organization and the organizations serviced.

In order to be considered qualified, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in Federal service.
