THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT PROPELLER MECHANIC (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0710000 and is part of the IL AASF 3, National Guard.
Requirements:
AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position, Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code § 709), will be in the following manner and sequence:
The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG. The SECOND area of consideration will be all current Federal Employees. The THIRD area of consideration will be all Federal re-employment eligible. The FOURTH area of consideration will be applicants willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians and gain ILNG membership. The FIFTH area of consideration will U.S. Citizens. Military Grades: Warrant Officer/Enlisted - May not exceed the rank of CW3. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess experience or training that has provided the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operations and make prescribed modifications to aircraft propeller assemblies and their components in accordance with technical specifications, procedures and requirements; experience using hand and power tools common to the trade.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : WG-10 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes at least 18 months experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operations and making prescribed modifications to aircraft propellers, assemblies, and accessories; experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft propellers, components, for rotary wing aircraft; experience determining maintenance needed from work orders, inspection reports, historical record, and by own diagnosis. WG-8 Level - MUST possess specialized experience for the WG-08 Level which includes at least 12 months experience or training removing and installing components and accessories with detailed guidance, experience in following detailed instructions in making minor repairs and modifications to aircraft propellers, subassemblies and components. WG-5 Level - MUST possess specialized experience for the WG-05 Level which includes at least 6 months experience or training using common hand tools in making repetitive mechanical repairs under close supervision; experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the simpler and routine duties of the trade.
In order to be considered qualified, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in Federal service.
