The CDC utilize Direct Hire Authority to fill vacancies in a variety of occupations. Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: GS-7: At least one (1) full year of graduate level education in any field of study OR Superior Academic Achievement ( See Education section) OR 1 year of specialized experience (GS-5 equivalent) OR A combination of education & experience GS-9: At least 2 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree in Public Health or other field of study with course work directly related to public health OR LL.B. or J.D., if related OR 1 year of specialized experience (GS-7 equivalent) OR A combination of education & experience GS-11: At least 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Public Health OR 1 year of specialized experience (GS-9 equivalent) OR A combination of education & experience GS-12 & above: At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level
