This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies at NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Requirements:

For the WG-11 level, this position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is: Must possess a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL). Note: You must attach a copy of the license to your application package to be considered for the position.

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible.

The Screen-out Element for the WG-11 level is: Ability to do the work of a WG-5725-11 Crane Operator without more than normal supervision as demonstrated by the following tasks: 1) Operating boom cranes to load, unload, move and position material with restricted maneuver ability requiring critical accuracy; 2) Determining the weight of the load to be lifted; 3) Rigging loads to be lifted by boom cranes. 4) Performing required operator's maintenance, inspections, and reporting; and 5) Working from hand, radio or other approved types of signals for crane operations.
