Requirements:
In order to qualify, you must meet the general experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions. Failure to submit transcripts, proof of acceptance or current enrollment in an accredited college/university will result in an ineligible rating.
Qualifications for Student Trainee GS-04: Completion of 60 semester hours or more of post-high school study leading towards a qualifying degree (i.e. associate's, bachelor's, master's, etc.).
REQUIRED AREA OF STUDY: Seeking a degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics, and/or a related degree with a combination of physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
***For completed educational programs or equivalent during Spring/Summer 2024, proof of acceptance or current enrollment in an accredited college/university for Fall 2024 must be provided**
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a developmental opportunity; this position will be filled at the GS-04 grade level. The individual selected for this position may be considered for promotion to a higher grade without further competition upon meeting all legal and regulatory/program requirements.
