THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for an Industrial Hygiene Technician, Position Description Number D0814000 and is part of the 158th Medical Group of the Vermont Air National Guard.
Requirements:
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Vermont Air National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Area I: All current On-board Permanent and Indefinite Dual Status 32 and Title 5 (Competitive and Excepted) Technicians (Tenure: 1-Career, 2-Conditional, 3-Indefinite) - Only those Vermont National Guard members who are in permanent or indefinite technician status as a result of being competitively hired within that National Guard component applying for a position within the component which they are currently employed.
Area II: All Members of the Vermont Air National Guard.
Area III: Currently assigned service members in other branches of the military outside of the VTNG, to include those assigned to Active Duty, Reserve or other state's National Guard.
Military Grades: rank individually addressed up to MSgt/E7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a basic knowledge of principles and practices related to the health care delivery system.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-10 - Must have at least 30 months experience, education, or training which provided working knowledge of the principles and practices related to the management of health care delivery systems. Experience with evaluations, surveys, reports of finding, and associated training of others in the areas of risk awareness/assessment and preventative measures. Experience in overseeing an occupational health and environmental quality program. Experience briefing senior leaders on related subjects.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
