This position serves as a Construction Control Representative serves Facility Management under Engineering Service providing quality control and assurance for a wide variety of construction and renovation projects to including general construction and building improvement projects.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement. 05/08/2024Examples of Qualifying Experience include: Engineering aid or technician or surveying technician performing work directly related to construction. Construction inspector or construction representative responsible for interpreting plans and specifications, inspecting materials and workmanship, and insuring adherence to safety requirements. Supervisor of crafts persons, equipment operators, or mechanics engaged in construction work, provided that the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications. Grade Requirements GS-11 grade level
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-10 grade level or equivalent to at least the next lower grade in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-09 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: (1) Reviewing correspondence and reports on construction status, progress, and administration. (2) Reviewing, initiating, and making recommendations for desirability, construction feasibility, and reasonableness of costs. (3) Ensuring contract provisions have been completed with no deficiencies that would prevent final payment to contractor. (4) Analyzing plans and specifications, drawings, designs, site conditions, and proposed construction schedules for contract modification.
