Job Summary:
We are seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our multi-disciplinary clinic, providing high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with a variety of conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience working within a team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, and physicians, to provide integrated, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ functional levels, physical and cognitive abilities, and needs to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to address deficits in occupational performance, aiming to improve or maintain independence in daily living activities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, sharing insights and strategies that support overall health and well-being.
- Educate patients and their families on coping strategies, adaptive equipment, and modifications to their environment to enhance safety and independence.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss care plans and progress, contributing to the interdisciplinary treatment planning process.
- Stay informed on the latest occupational therapy practices, techniques, and evidence-based interventions through continuous education and professional development.
- Adhere to clinic policies, procedures, and the ethical standards of the occupational therapy profession.
