This is a full-time Virtual JDA until the end of the detail.

Requirements:
Qualifications required: *Knowledge of Federal Emergency Management and Continuity laws, directives, and guidance. Ability to interpret and implement guidance regarding risk assessments. Extensive communication skills in writing a variety of documents and reports; oral skills to foster collaborative working relationships with EOC staff and other stakeholders; and work proactively to meet goals and objectives. Experience with managing resources; and ability to review and assess plans and guidance. Knowledge of, or willingness to learn processes and concepts related to emergency management (National Incident Management System - NIMS). Recommended: Course completion for on-line Independent Study (IS)100: Introduction to the Incident Command System, IS-200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response, IS-700: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System, and IS-800: National Response Framework. Self-driven and motivated; occasional travel may be required. Required to hold and retain a Secret or Top-Secret clearance. *Employees within series 1895 and1881 may be eligible to apply for OS JDA assignments after reaching their journey level/full-performance level or after reaching their Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) occupational series requirements. CBP employees are required to utilize their CBP issued laptops and cell phone (if necessary) for the duration of the assignment. Non-CBP employees should coordinate with their Local Property Officer to ensure the availability of laptop/phone, if selected. Non-CBP employees must ensure they hold a Tier 4 Background Investigation (BI); interested participants should reach out to their agency's local Security Officer, prior to applying, to ensure they hold a Tier 4 BI.Please read the following important information to ensure we have everything we need to consider your application:
