THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5154000 and is part of the IL JFHQ, National Guard.
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: You must possess experience, education, or training involving skills in applying problem solving techniques; and skills in communicating effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to plan and organize work; competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences; ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Level - MUST have specialized experience which includes at least 1-year specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-08, of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures; have a good understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements; experience and training that demonstrate the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures
In order to be considered qualified, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in Federal service.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
