This is a Temporary Promotion/Detail Not to Exceed 4 months, may be terminated early, extended, or made permanent based on agency needs.This position is in the Department of Labor (DOL), Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA), Office of Standards, Regulations and Variances (OSRV), Regulatory Development Division.
This position is inside the bargaining unit.
Requirements:
You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Regulatory Specialist, as described below.
For GS-13: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
Qualifying specialized experience for GS-13 includes experience performing ALL of the following:
Experience interpreting, developing, reviewing, preparing, and formulating, policy issuances, reports and statement required by law, Executive Order or regulation. Experience writing and orally communicating the Agency's views and position to opposing parties. Reviews proposed Agency policy issuances to ensure consistency with Agency goals and objectives. Reviews and analyzes comments/inquiries on proposed regulations, recommending regulation changes.
