About the Position: Serve as project manager responsible for overall planning, execution, control, closure of military, environmental, International & Interagency (IIS) projects. Projects typically involve planning, designing, constructing, and/or repairing buildings, hangers, roads, bridges, runways, medical facilities, utility systems, support infrastructure, etc. and often have multiple stakeholders, strict cost/schedule requirements, technical challenges, conflicting stakeholder priorities.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes knowledge and understanding of the full range of principles, guidelines, laws, regulations, concepts, and methodology associated with the Project Management Business Process; managing and leading the planning, scoping, developing, design, construction, and direction of civil works/military construction projects and/or environmental restoration projects; experience in preparing schedules and budget estimates, tracking and reporting progress against schedules and estimates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). This experience must be demonstrated within your resume.
