This position is located in Lisle, Illinois, Region III, Division of Operating Reactor Safety. The supervisor is Nestor Feliz Adorno. This position is not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements. This is a non-bargaining unit position. Expenses associated with interview and/or relocation will NOT be paid.

Requirements:

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least 4 years of progressively responsible experience, beyond high school, performing a wide range of administrative and secretarial functions such as preparing correspondence, scheduling appointments, arranging travel, etc., including one year specialized experience which must be equivalent to the GS/GG-7 grade level in the Federal service.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: Demonstrated experience performing a wide range of administrative and secretarial functions, such as preparing and proofreading correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining supervisor's calendar, arranging travel, etc. Experience in the use of office automation tools such as Microsoft Office 365 Applications, automated time keeping system, automated travel system, etc. Such experience must have provided you with the full range of knowledge, skills and abilities identified for what is considered an “Ideal Candidate” for this position. The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate in their resume:

1. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and correspondence procedures sufficient to prepare correspondence of an administrative nature, reports of a technical nature, and review outgoing material for correctness, proper format, and completeness.

2. Demonstrated proficiency with the use of advanced features for complex formatting in microcomputer-based word processing applications, including Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Appointment Calendar), presentation applications, and other database applications (i.e., maintaining automated tracking systems).

3. Knowledge and considerable experience in leadership skills, to provide administrative support and coordination in a variety of areas (extensive knowledge of time and attendance reporting, security, records management, travel scheduling etc.).

4. Demonstrated extensive experience working under deadlines, and experience in prioritizing work assignments, leading to successful completion of multiple tasks.

5. In a team environment, demonstrated extensive experience in communicating orally and in writing, ability to deal tactfully, efficiently, effectively, with subordinates, supervisor, managers, staff and people external to the organization.
