ASSESSMENT FACTORS

1. Demonstrated experience supervising or leading a staff of special agents, investigators, and other subject-matter experts including organizing multi-discipline investigative teams of law
enforcement personnel to conduct or resolve complex investigative issues.
2. Demonstrates excellence in planning and providing oversight of complex investigations; identifies and directs the collection of pertinent evidence from wide-ranging sources; advises on innovative investigative techniques to gather key evidence; oversees the analysis of ample and often contradictory evidence, for the purposes of applying it to a law, rule, regulation, instruction, or policy to determine if a violation occur.
3. Maintains and advances business partnerships with senior mission managers by providing substantive guidance and leading changes that ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of services.
4. Develops and employs strategies to analyze key issues, drawing conclusions from data and recommending viable solutions to address Agency mission needs.
5. Identifies available resources and constraints that impact the effectiveness of work assignments, and develops plans that effectively utilize resources and overcome obstacles.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS


1. Demonstrates expertise leading investigations involving contract and procurement matters.
2. Expert knowledge of contract and procurement policies and procedures within the DoD, IC or federal government.
3. Investigative experience, preferably in the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or Inspector General Community.

The duties of positions in this series require moderate to arduous physical exertion involving walking and standing, use of firearms, and exposure to inclement weather. Manual dexterity with comparatively free motion of finger, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee joints is required. Arms, hands, leGG, and feet must be sufficiently intact and functioning in order that applicants may perform the duties satisfactorily. Sufficiently good vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required to perform the duties satisfactorily. Near vision, corrective lenses permitted, must be sufficient to read printed material the size of typewritten characters. Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 35 decibels at 1000, 2000, and 3000 Hz levels. Since the duties of these positions are exacting and responsible, and involve activities under trying conditions, applicants must possess emotional and mental stability. Any physical condition that would cause the applicant to be a hazard to himself/herself, or others is disqualifying.
