In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience: Must be skilled in the operation of any powered equipment. Must be familiar with common gardener procedures such as mowing, fertilizing, replacing sod and/or aerating. Experience in pruning trees and bushes arc desirable. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively in English to follow verbal and written job assignments. Applicant must be able to communicate with the golfers, understand written equipment safety and training manuals, understand MSDS and hazard communication programs and follow all established safety, security and housekeeping responsibilities. Must lift up to 75 pounds. Position is subject to furlough from December through February. A pre-employment physical is required. Pre-employment immunizations are required. Successful completion of a Tier one investigation is required. Must have the ability to operate a wide variety of powered equipment to include utility vehicles, riding mowers, and other powered riding equipment if required. Must have the ability to operate equipment in a safe manner.
