This position is a Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist, GS- 1640-12 working in Anderson, California for the R8-Coleman National Fish Hatchery.

In order to qualify for this position you must possess both the Minimum Qualification.

Minimum Qualification [GS-12]: Have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS- 11 level in the Federal service (can be obtained in either the public of private sector), performing all of the following: 1) assessing equipment and facility deficiencies to develop solutions to operating problems and identifying deficiencies to develop solutions to operating problems and identifying construction needs in accordance with Service and industry standards; 2) planning for repair, replacement and maintenance of equipment and facility infrastructures; 3) preparing cost estimates or cost analysis using basic accounting methods for labor and materials for a variety of construction and maintenance
projects, such as construction or maintenance of brick, frame, structural steel, reinforced concrete, and other type structures ranging from one-or two-story buildings to larger structures; 4) utilizing spreadsheets and word processing applications to prepare detailed reports that document facility conditions and needed corrective actions; and 5) interacting with subordinates, peers and external constituents in order to maintain appropriate contacts with the organization funding projects. Time In Grade Requirement: Applicants must meet both eligibility and qualification requirements for the position of interest by the closing date of the JOA. Specifically,
i. Area of Consideration.
ii. Time-in-grade (TIG) requirements as specified in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
iii. Time after competitive appointment as specified in 5 CFR 330.502.
iv. Qualification requirements outlined in OPM's Qualifications Standards for General Schedule Positions or for Federal Wage System (FWS), wage grade positions, applicants are evaluated using the OPM Job Qualification System for Trades and Labor Occupations and the job element examining method
