Position Title: International Relations Specialist

Requirements:
Qualifications required: Ability to work independently. Knowledge of, and experience in, international affairs, preferably in relation to border management and control, trade and/or travel rules and mechanisms. Ability to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. Knowledge of varying political, military, and economic cultures of the geographic region. Knowledge and skill sufficient to analyze conflicting data and summarize recommendations and policy changes, while ensuring consideration of various points of view and specifying the reasons for acceptance or rejection of a specific input. Skill in interpersonal relations, and oral and written communications with CBP senior leadership and other federal agencies to accomplish mission requirements. Spanish or French language proficiency is preferred but not required.Major Duties of the Position and Responsibilities may include: Supporting CBP foreign deployed staff and their designated portfolios. Collaborating with other U.S. government agencies and foreign counterparts on developing plans to facilitate and substantially enhance trade, diplomacy, and security cooperation.
