This position is located in the Office of Secure Transportation, Office of Program Integration (OPI), Aviation Operations Division. Serves as the Pilot in Command and/or Co-Pilot of a 737 aircraft in support of the OST mission.

Requirements:

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR:
Possess FAA Type Rating (For any large aircraft over 70,000 lbs MGTOW and/or with a turbojet powerplant) or Military Aircraft Commander Qualification (as shown in military flight records) in a passenger/cargo type aircraft .

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Flying large jet aircraft as a Pilot in Command or Second in Command for an airline, cargo, military, or corporate operation. Experience actively flying cargo and/or personnel in a large transport category aircraft with recency of flight in the past 12 months (100 hrs.) and a minimum of 250 PIC flight hours and 1,500 flight hours. Must have over 1,500 flight hours in B-737, military C-40, or similar cargo or passenger type aircraft (over 70,000 lbs.).

Examples of Specialized Experience:

Flying large jet aircraft as a Pilot in Command or Second in Command for an airline, cargo, or corporate operation. Experience as a military transport pilot, which included flight planning, weight and balance calculation and self-dispatch. Experience as a commercial chief pilot.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
