THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This position is located within an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Avionics Element, Avionics Shop, Communications/Navigation/ECM, or Guidance and Control shop.
DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1 = Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. (Related courses are desired: Physics, Algebra, Trigonometry, and computer principles.) AND The completion of an Air Force Three Skill Level Technical Training School and successful On-the-Job training that will result or resulted in the award of a compatible Five Skill Level AFSC.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess at least a three-skill level in one of the compatible AFSCs, with Twelve (12) months of work experiences, that involved installing, modifying, overhauling, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, aligning, calibrating, and rebuilding multi-system avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions -OR- Do you possess at least Twelve (12) months of specialized experience working as an Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic, WG-2610-12, and possess the craftsman level of knowledge and skills to install, modify, overhaul, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, align, calibrate, and rebuild multisystem avionics complexes consisting of multiple completely integrated electronic avionics systems where the complex accomplishes a number of major functions.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
