Description:

This position is located on NSA-Panama City, in the MWR Department. The purpose of the position is to perform as a marina forklift operator to lift, lower and transport watercraft in the MWR Marina facility. Will also assist in operating marina/outdoor recreation activity programs by servicing customers, answering inquiries, providing program information and other related duties. Requires a valid driver's license.
Open to the local commuting area only. Vacancy open until filled.

One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties described above is desirable.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Must know how high, wide and long the forklift and loads are, and how much the forklift can safely lift and if it is properly balanced.

Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Will work as instructed and consult with supervisor on all matters.

Will require moderate physical effort to operate hand and foot controls while driving, starting and stopping forklift, and raising, lowering and tilting loads to be moved. The vibrations of the forklift may cause strain.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
