You will serve as a Design Supervisor in the Capital Improvement Business Line, Project Management and Engineering Branch, Public Works Department of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.Requirements:
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. Selective Placement Factor (SPF): This position has an SPF which is current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect (RA) in any state, District of Columbia, Guam or Puerto Rico.Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supervising/leading multi-disciplined engineers, architects, and designers engaged in providing engineering and design services; 2) Applying professional knowledge, skill, and experience in program and project management to provide consultative services on program and project management issues and the entire range of architectural and engineering activities for facilities construction and to solve problems that may not be resolved by routine methods, theories, concepts, principles and practices in engineering or architecture; 3) Developing multi-million dollar project programming documents; establishing project execution schedules; monitoring the formation of project documents; monitoring the timely execution of necessary permits, site approvals, and real estate actions; monitoring the solicitation and award processes; and tracking projects during construction; 4) Communicating effectively through oral and written expressions, and working effectively with other professionals; fielding questions; de-conflicting issues and defending policies; 5) Utilizing knowledge of standards, codes and practices of engineering and architecture governing the identification, execution and delivery of technical products and services..
