Qualifications and Requirements
Performs diagnostic and corrective mechanical maintenance on equipment and trucks, including diesel engines, hydraulic repair; electrical repair and various degrees of engine repair.
Performs preventative maintenance and all scheduling, directing and oversight of the activities to reduce vehicle/equipment downtimes.
Maintenance & Repair, Troubleshooting, and Field Service skills
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent
Opportunity to grow into Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership positions.
Excellent customer service skills
Welds various objects and fabricates parts used to repair heavy equipment.
CDL license preferred but not required.
Computer input and completion of work orders/data.
Orders parts for repairs and completes and signs work order.

Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Service Technician at B.E.R. Equipment Rentals. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintenance, troubleshooting, and field service of our rental equipment. The role will involve providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the proper functioning of the equipment. While the role is primarily located in Hackensack, NJ, some remote work is acceptable.
