We are an expanding law firm looking for a diligent person who will take ownership and pride in being part of our evolution and growth. We provide sophisticated estate and asset protection planning services that make significant differences in the lives of the people we serve. Administrators are the backbone of our expert legal teams, providing critical support and communication to attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals. They also are the first line of contact for providing exceptional client services, timely and accurate dissemination of information, and detailed database maintenance. Your work will be the glue that holds our day-to-day operations together. Compensation: Starting at $30,000 and increasing with experience and value added to the firm. Estate Planning is an area of employment in which most administrative professionals have no experience. Typically, there is significant training on the job, and we are paying someone to operate within a very steep learning curve for approximately one year before they can work independently. Salaries in our firm increase with experience and value added to each position. Responsibilities: • Proactively look for, suggest, and participate in ways to improve your professional knowledge, job performance, and the quality and efficiency of the firm’s production, systems, and processes • Answer and screen phone calls, take messages, and route calls to appropriate personnel • Greet clients and visitors, and direct them to the appropriate office or meeting room • Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, and other materials under the direction of an attorney or paralegal using word processing software and other office applications • Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems, and retrieve files as needed • Manage and coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for attorneys and other legal professionals • Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and email • Monitor and order office supplies, and ensure that office equipment is in working order • Collect monthly records of financial transactions from other members of the firm for delivery to AR/AP • Provide general administrative support, such as photocopying, scanning, and creating binders for completed estate-planning documents • Assist with preparing for court appearances, including organizing exhibits and materials • Perform other duties as assigned by attorneys, paralegals, or office managers Qualifications: • IF YOU DON'T COMPLETE THE "DISC" PROFILE INCLUDED IN THIS JOB DESCRIPTION, YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED • Must complete all screening tags included in this job description • Must live close to McKinney, Texas, with the ability to work full-time in our office • High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience working in an administrative support role is preferred • Highly analytical with excellent organizational capabilities • Strong time management and problem-solving skills • After receiving training, able to make autonomous decisions and take the initiative to manage, prioritize, and complete projects independently • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office applications • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks • Attention to detail and accuracy About Company: An industry leader in the legal areas of complex estate planning and asset protection; uncontested probate; and uncontested guardianship.
