SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Home Construction Quality Manager will be responsible for all daily duties that involve the oversight of successful and timely construction of residential homes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Work with Division President and General Counsel to ensure quality standards are being met and building code satisfied at various stages of construction progress
  • Develop and implement best practices to ensure compliance with building codes and other manufacturer requirements in the field
  • Ensures that blueprints and plans and specs are correct in all respects and related construction in the field sufficiently complies
  • On job training of all builders in process and procedures
  • Evaluates and maintains effectiveness of staff, maintain minimum performance level via training/hiring/replacement
  • Facilitates training for builders as needed
  • Maintain and enforce work place safety requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field of study or equivalent experience
  • At least eight (8) years previous construction experience in new construction and in a supervisory capacity
  • Homebuilding software experience is preferred
  • Reliable automobile and a valid driver’s license.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of Colorado Building Code and relevant local building codes
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with tight deadlines.
  • Maintain attention to detail and follow through.
  • Make decisions and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without reasonable accommodations, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to conditions that include weather such as heat and/or humidity and cold, fumes or airborne particles, exposure to dust and asphalt, and moving mechanical parts.

The Superintendent is regularly required to:

• Walk, climb stairs, sit, and stand.

• Talk and hear at normal levels.

• See with close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and have the ability to adjust focus.

• Reach with hands and arms.

• Use hands and fingers to operate tools and other business machines.

• Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

General Overview of Compensation:

• $125,000-$150,000
