To qualify for this position, you must meet the following requirements.SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Must have the ability to perform the duties of the LAUNDRY MACHINE OPERATOR without more than normal supervision. Related experience includes, operation of washers and dryers, washes soiled linens and unloads washer and sort's laundry. Your experience must be detailed in your resume to receive credit.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK CONDITIONS:
Physical Requirements: The incumbent must be able to push loaded slings weighing 200 pounds, push linen carts weighing over 500 pounds routinely, and lift bundles of linen weighing over 50 pounds. The employee must have stamina and strength to perform moderate physical tasks over a long period of time. The position requires frequent walking, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, and muscular effort when operating tumblers/dryers.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The Laundry Machine Operator works in an area that is noisy, damp as the result of steam, and will experience heat from machinery. May be exposed to airborne lint, constantly standing on concrete floors, repetitive hand and foot movements. The employee's work encompasses operating equipment with moving parts. The incumbent will be required to wear protective clothing when working on the soiled sm1ing line due to the presence of potentially contaminated linen.
The employee's work area is indoors, in a well-lighted structure that is climate controlled.
