ALTA IT Services has two 12 month+ contract openings for Learning and Development Specialists to facilitate various virtual training classes in support of a Maryland-based health insurance customer. This is a hybrid position with in-office days expected about once per month. Candidates must live within commuting distance to Owings Mills, MD OR Charleston, WV. Either location is acceptable.

PURPOSE:
Facilitates training programs to ensure that employees are equipped with the right skills, knowledge/abilities to perform their assigned tasks, strengthen current skills, and acquire new skills to meet current and future business demands. Both virtual Instructor-led and Instructor-led training programs are delivered to maximize reach and impact on the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitates both virtual instructor-led & instructor-led training that reflect adult learning ideas to build capabilities and drive behavioral change and engage learners.
- Utilizes business trends and post-learning evaluation to improve training content and delivery.
- Contributes to the development and maintenance of training materials.
- Partners with coordinators to maintain scheduling of training courses.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree OR In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
- Experience: 2 years of experience delivering various training, teaching, or adult learning modules to large audiences.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAS)
- Knowledge of adult learning delivery methods and principles.
- Knowledge and understanding of learning management systems (LMS).
- Ability to troubleshoot and use video editing software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to conduct thorough research to uncover insights.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.
- Skill in talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time.
- Must be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
HOURLY RATE: $33.00/hr. range W2, Benefits available.
