You will serve as a Pipefitter within NAVAL RESEARCH LABORATORY

Requirements:

This position has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: MUST HAVE THE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE PIPE COVERING AND INSULATING TRADE. I must possess: 1) Skill in the use of conventional and unconventional piping materials and trade techniques to plan, layout, install, repair and maintain distribution systems; 2) Knowledge of how relief valves, check valves, pressure regulators, expansion joints and other pressure supporting and controlling devices are installed and how they operate; 3) Ability to plan and lay out the installation and modification of various low pressure systems; AND 4) A thorough knowledge of the National Plumbing Code and the ability to interpret and apply building plans, blueprints and to use shop mathematics to lay out angles, arcs and circles.
