Description:

About the Position: Office space located in a room with PEBLO. Working environment is office and cubicles with other Medical Evaluation Board employees. Hours of operation is 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. and the applicant can expect to achieve helping service members from the Army, Navy and Marines process through their medical board.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year specialized experience which includes advising patients on the medical evaluation process such as explaining medical board findings, medical forms, and medical test preparations; utilizing automated software such as Electronic Medical Evaluation Board (eMEB), Composite Healthcare System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA) to prepare documents for patients and medical evaluation boards; scheduling patient's medical appointments with various clinics per the physician's request; coordinating with patients, physicians and clinics to avoid scheduling clinics; and making travel arrangements for patient's scheduled appointments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
