QUALIFICATIONSREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters in Library Science or Library Information Sciences from an ALA-accredited program or foreign equivalent; minimum of 3-5 year professional academic library experience in public services, including successful, effective, and direct supervision of academic library staff for a minimum of two years. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Documented experience in effective information literacy instruction in person and/or online; experience collaborating with teaching faculty to promote library public services. Demonstrated assessment of public service programs using qualitative and/or quantitative data to initiate effective changes that are designed to improve services. Evidence of working effectively, positively, and collaboratively with peers and subordinates in the workplace, including library and institutional committees or working groups. Evidence of professional engagement through publications, professional presentations and/or committee work in the library profession regionally/nationally.
ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES:
Master's degree in Library Science or Library information Sciences.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Second graduate degree in a discipline taught at the US Air Force Academy.
