The Assistant Coach is responsible for planning, programming, coordinating, supervising, managing, directing and/or reviewing all activities for their assigned area of responsibility. Responsible for advising the Coach on the daily operation of their team to include reporting daily operational problems and needs to achieve goals and objectives of the Veterans Contact Center (VCC) VBA benefits programs as they relate to the VCC.Requirements:

Time-in-grade: Applicants who are/were federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 level. To support your claim of time in grade, you must submit your most recent appointment, promotion, or within grade increase SF-50 (not an award or general adjustment SF-50). Some applicants may have to submit more than one SF-50 to demonstrate their eligibility. See the required documents section for more information.
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this GS-0901-11 Supervisory Legal Administrative Specialist (Assistant Coach) position applicants must have one year of Specialized Experience which was equivalent to the GS-09 level or above in the normal line of progression within the organization. Specialized experience is defined as experience counseling Veterans, their dependents, and their representatives, both orally and in writing, regarding the full array of benefits available through the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as state, federal and local benefit programs concerned with veterans

Education :
You must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. (Transcripts must be provided with your application.)
Or A combination of specialized experience as described in A and education as described in B that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement. (Transcripts must be provided with your application.)

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
