The ideal candidate for this position will work as a member of the Mission Support Executive Office, Headquarters Team. In this position you will create and apply operations methods to cost estimating and cost analysis for acquisition programs.

The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.To qualify for this position at the GS-14 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
- Performing cost analysis over a wide range of functions across various phases of the acquisition; AND
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing cost data from various sources using various costing techniques; AND
- Building models to predict the future costs of systems; AND
- Writing, reviewing, and analyzing government cost documents .
Basic Requirements: Degree: in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. (Transcript required)
