Requirements:

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements:

Education:

One year of graduate education or an internship meets the specialized experience required above GL-05 only in those instances where it is directly related to the work of the position.

OR

Experience:

You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Specialized experience is directly related experience that includes support duties to medical or health personnel. Therefore, technician experience is experience that required application of the knowledge, methods, and techniques of the position to be filled.

Some examples of this qualifying experience are:

Experience in maintaining accurate inventories of all needles, syringes and controlled substances. Experience in preparing medications for Pharmacist review and placing automated medication orders. Experience in reporting and recording adverse medication reactions. Experience in administering medications (i.e. sublingual, buccal, eye, ear, nasal, topical, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous).

Selective Placement Factor:

Applicants applying for this position MUST possess the following Selective Factor. In the event you do not possess the Selective Factor, you will be found ineligible for the position.

Applicant is required to have completed one or more of the following certified programs: nursing assistant, medical assistant, pharmacy technician, vocational/practical nursing, or emergency medical technician (EMT). Evidence of program completion is required.

If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. To receive proper credit, you must show the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in activities.
