This position is located at the Southern Colorado Ute Service Unit. As the Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will provide a full range of professional clinical mental health services of complex technical difficulty to registered outpatients at the Southern Colorado Ute Service Unit. This includes evaluation, diagnosis, consultation, counseling, referral, psychotherapy, crisis intervention and treatment of mental, emotional and behavioral disorders.Requirements:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SOCIAL WORKER SERIES, 0185
Basic Requirements:
Education: You must have successful completion of a Master's in social work in a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Licensure: You must have an independent license in Social Work to provide clinical intervention services.
Additional Requirements for the grade GS-12:
Experience: In addition to meeting the above education and licensure requirements, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (obtained in public or private sector) providing clinical intervention including evaluation, diagnosis and treatment services for child or adult mental health problems; using established techniques in investigating, diagnosing, and developing treatments of mental, emotional or behavioral disorders; contributing to the development of community mental health programs and/or interventions; using knowledge of a range of concepts, principles and practices involving clinical applications of mental health and social services to address patient needs.
This work must have included knowledge of special mental health problems faced by Native Americans in order to provide community and/or hospital based mental health services.

Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
