Description:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for the formulation of accounting and financial management policy; managing financial operations and financial reporting; providing financial analysis; assessing internal controls; and providing guidance and financial advice to GSA Services and Staff Offices.
Location of position: This is a VIRTUAL position within GSA's Office of the Chief Financial Officer

The GS-13 salary range starts at $ 103,409 per year. Locality will be determined based on duty location.Accountant Qualifications:
Basic Requirements: You must have either A or B, or C:
A. Degree in accounting.
B. Degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting. The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law.
C. A combination of college level education and experience.

In addition to the Basic Requirements, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience performing analyses of a high volume automated accounting system which included complex processing routines; analyzing and evaluating complex accounting problems to develop solutions; and communicating accounting solutions to management peers, customers and/or subordinates.This position has a positive education requirement: Applicants must submit a copy of their college or university transcript(s) and certificates by the closing date of announcements to verify qualifications.
