Our client is seeking 2 Talent Development Specialists to work on-site in San Marcos, Texas. Hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Pay rate is $22 hourly. This is a 4-5 month contract position.Responsibilities
In this Talent Development Specialist (TDS) role, you will be an integral part of the Operational team responsible for client outreach and engagement.
In this role you will:
•Coordinate and schedule outreach events with community partners.
•Promote Workforce Solutions programs and engage with potential participants at community events.
•Review program eligibility and collect program enrollment documentation, (i.e. personal identification, verification of income, program application, etc.).
•Interview customers to assess and record information regarding training needs, education, experience, skills, and self-sufficiency goals.
•Assist customers in completing their WorkInTexas registration and updating their resume.
•Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed.
•Provide employment services and support (including life skills, job readiness, and job search) to young adults ages 16-24 years old.
• Work collaboratively with the business services team to place participants in work-experience job sites.
•Collect participants' timesheets and enter payroll information.
•Record and manage participants' information in our databases, including maintaining digital files and generating reports as needed.
•Greet in-office customers and provide assistance with job search activities on the Resource Room computers.
•Answer business phones including directing callers to appropriate staff and responding to voicemail messages when needed.

You take pride in your ability to recognize and solve problems as they arise. You enjoy making connections with others both in person and over the phone.
• High School or General Education Diploma or higher.
• 1-2 years of clerical or customer service experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Ability to interact professionally in diverse settings with a variety of people.
• Valid driver license, auto insurance and personal vehicle. Willing to travel to off-site community events.
• Willing to occasionally work evenings and weekends to attend community events.
• Maintain confidentiality.
Submittal for this position requires assessments over Basic Computer Literacy, Microsoft Word, and Outlook. Candidates need to score 80% or higher on the assessment to be considered for the position.
Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
