We are currently hiring for Welder at our Cudahy, Wisconsin located approximately 5 miles south of Milwaukee. As a Welder, you will be an integral part of a successful team that is responsible for producing products and machined components in military, aerospace, oil/gas and other applications.

This is a second shift position from 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday through Friday.Training will be conducted on first shift.

Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets dimensional drawings and sketches. Makes necessary layout and follows welding procedures to obtain maximum weld strength of weld. Uses rulers, squares, protractors, templates, etc. in performing layouts and checking of own work.
  • Follows welding procedures and techniques best suited to obtain proper penetration and weld strength in accordance with code certifications, alignment, and inspection requirements.
  • Must be able to setup and operate all types of welding equipment. Eg. Electric arc, inert gas, oxygen acetylene welding; including Submerged Arc, Flood Welding, TIG, MIG, and Air Arc. Operation of overhead cranes, Pre/Post heating furnaces and fork trucks is required.
  • Uses such tools or crescent, open end and allen wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, hammers, chisels, wire brush, etc. in performing setup and welding operations.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.


Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Use of shop mathematics, charts, tables, formulas, work from complex drawings, sketches, and samples.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, knowledge of machining operations, hand and bench operations, material characteristics.
  • Experience of at least 3 years of welding experience.


Skills

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and perform set-ups
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques including MIG, TIG and Stick welding (preferred)
  • Understanding of basic welding operations
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
