Position Summary

The Maintenance Storeroom coordinator is responsible for all storeroom activities to ensure parts availability, documentation, and organization in the most cost-effective manner possible. The position has responsibility for driving productivity and continuous improvement through coordination of parts, materials vendors, and the maintenance team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Ensure proper parts availability, documentation, and organization

· Define/maintain the appropriate parts inventory to meet business needs. This includes:

  • Identifying all required parts to meet business needs (stocked and non-stocked)

  • Making stocking decisions

  • Defining and managing appropriate Min/Max and Re-order points based on criticality, lead time, size, and cost

  • Modify targeted inventory to keep it appropriate as usages change, equipment is installed/removed, and downtime events identify opportunities for improvement

· Document all parts in the CMMS computer system. This includes:

  • Part Numbers / Descriptions

  • Manufacturer / Vendor Information

  • Stocking strategies (with Min/Max and Re-order points)

  • Linkages to plant equipment parts lists / blueprints (as appropriate)

  • Storage Locations

  • On-Hand quantities

· Create and execute re-order processes to ensure inventory levels are maintained at all times within Min / Max targets. This includes:

  • Use the CMMS system to identify parts to be ordered

  • Order parts from vendors (in compliance with company purchasing guidelines)

  • Track on-order parts

  • Receive parts into inventory upon arrival

  • Receive, review, and approve parts invoices, then forward to Maintenance Manager for final approval

· Ensure accurate inventory quantities at all times via procedures for: receiving, issuing, returning, cycle counting, etc.

· Create and execute procedures for rebuilding used parts and returning to stock (as appropriate)

· Maintain storeroom organization, housekeeping, and security

2. Ensure Customer needs are met via appropriate communication and training with the Maintenance team

3. Ensure Cost Effectiveness and Fiscal control

· Identify viable vendors for all parts (documented in the CMMS system) and utilize best options considering, quality, price, availability, etc

· Track open Purchase Order status, monitor, and expedite long lead or overdue PO’s

· Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes for new parts and CAPEX items as required

· Optimize unexpected expedited freight costs through stocking strategies

· Develop alternate vendors and substitutions for OEM parts where appropriate

· Maintain storeroom security at all times to prevent parts disappearance

· Monitor and manage contractor parts usage from the storeroom

· Implement and manage warranty credit processes for parts

4. Miscellaneous

· Ensure items suspected or known to contain hazardous materials or which may be subject to any regulatory requirements are handled with special care and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are properly recorded. Coordinate the disposal of hazardous wastes and/or materials complying with Local, State and Federal Environmental regulations

· At all times, ensure Safety and Food Safety requirements are maintained. These include (but are not limited to): Lockout/Tagout, Confined Entry, Hot Work Permitting, Equipment Clearance Reports, etc

· Assist the Planner Scheduler in maintaining the Technical Documents Library in hard copy and digital formats

· Provide performance analysis as needed to support department leadership

· Assist the Maintenance Manager in planning for shut-down and maintenance events

· Assist the Planner / Scheduler with parts kitting, Technical Document maintenance, CMMS computer system maintenance

· Keep the Maintenance Manager apprised of abnormal or critical work scheduling situations.

· Other duties, as assigned, based on business need

Working Conditions

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations.

· Position requires standing for long periods of time (10 to 12 hours), bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, reaching, upper body and arm rotation, arm extension, twisting, and lifting products and materials weighing up to 50 pounds and pulling up to 70 pounds

· Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, grasping, typing, reading, talking, and hearing

· Very high noise levels in/around bottling line (ear protection required)

· Exposure to various temperature changes

· Able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (earplugs, gloves, boots, etc.)

Education/Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job effectively. · High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

· Must be at least 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States

· Experience in inventory control and purchasing

General knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment, components, and parts

· Strong functional computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel

· Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

· Ability to integrate the needs of multiple parties into an overall goal

· Possess a good understanding of environmental, health, safety, and food safety regulations

· A positive customer service attitude, strong work ethic, a team player, flexible to meet customer needs, good organizational skills, communicates well, and can work well in a team or independently with little or no supervision

· The ability to certify annually the proper and safe operation of various makes and models of Lift Trucks, Scissors Lifts, and Bucket Lifts

· The ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision collaboratively in a dynamic environment
