This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Eastern Region, Office of the Regional Director, Division of Administration, Branch of Self Determination in Nashville, Tennessee.NOTE: TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED. ANY RELOCATION EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH REPORTING FOR DUTY WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SELECTED EMPLOYEE.
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-1101).GS-13: I have at least 1 year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-12 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience in providing leadership and/or management of Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act of 1975 (ISDEAA) and Public Law (P.L. 93-638) program activities to include serving as an Awarding Official providing advisory services to develop, coordinate, negotiate, and award a variety of contracts and grants; handle contract management, policy development reviews, negotiating, and resolving administrative or management issues; determine organizational training needs regarding self-determination; determine activities associated with development of training and curriculum development to support the implementation of P.L. 93-638.
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Incumbent will be required to have, or obtain certification within six (6) months upon entrance of duty, as an Awarding Official in accordance with Bureau of Indian Affairs' Indian Self-Determination Awarding Official Certification System (AOCS) Handbook for positions designated and delegated authority to award Indian Self-Determination contracts.

Merit Promotion candidates must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the announcement closing date.
