You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer (F-35 LST Senior Structures Engineer) on the F-35 Lightning Support Team, Fort Worth, TX.Requirements:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience with air vehicle airframe structures and related systems. 2) Experience with materials and processes, low observables, and other protection coatings. 3) Experience with corrosion management. 4) Experience with metal airframe and composite repairs. 5) Experience with performing and interpreting structural analysis and fatigue life analysis. 6) Effective Senior Engineer leadership, technical conscience, sound judgement, and authority for assigned systems. 7) Exhibit effective communication skills, presenting recommendations and negotiating solutions to disputes. 8) Ensures communication of significant fleet problems, concerns, issues, or other matters that require further elevation to the appropriate levels. 9) Overseeing coordination of critical tasks and support for items such as: mishaps, engineering investigations, aircraft sustainment, configuration management, and airworthiness/safety assessments with respect to aircraft structures. 10) Issues technical solutions to technical and supportability issues (i.e., Action Requests) submitted from F-35 operations and maintenance personnel. 11) Interfaces with internal and external stakeholders including: Joint Program Office (JPO), DCMA, NAVAIR, OEMs, contractors, USN, USAF, USMC, Cooperative Partner Personnel (CPP), FMS customers, and others.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:
