Lead and manage a professional staff that serves as the interface between NIST and the United States (US) Congress regarding science and technology plans, policies, procedures, and the evaluation of current and future budgetary and policy needs of NIST.Requirements:
This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level (ZA-IV at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience serving on a Congressional staff or in Congressional relations in an agency or organization that works closely with legislative and intergovernmental affairs; analyzing and evaluating policy, laws, regulations and programs, monitoring and promoting issues, and assisting in developing legislative strategies, and planning and developing testimony, briefing materials, and activities associated with Congressional consideration. Interfacing with and advising stakeholders/policymakers on matters relating to congressional and intergovernmental affairs programs and policies.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application.
