These positions are located in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Fleet and Family Readiness Program, Fleet Readiness Department in the Fitness/Sports and Deployed Support Department at MWR JEBLC/FT. STORY IN VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. The purpose of this position is to serve as a Group Exercise Instructor demonstrating and leading safe and effective group exercise classes, applying the fundamental principles of exercise science, under the supervision of the assigned manager.Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION: Must possess and maintain at all times a Certified Group Exercise Instructor/Trainer Certificate from one of the following organizations: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM); Cooper Institute; American Council on Exercise (ACE); Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA); American Aerobic Association International/International Sports Medicine Association (AAAI/ISMA); National Dance Exercise Instructor Training Association (NDEITA);International Dance and Exercise (IDEA); Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA). Must possess and maintain at all times a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Instructor certificate and First Aid Instructor certificate. Must have at least one of the following Certifications: Spin, Yoga, USA Boxing Coach, USA Weightlifiting, and Kickboxing.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Position has been designated Non-Critical sensitive. As a position of trust and ITII position, employment is conditional on the successful completions of an Access National Agency Check (ANACI). Must possess and maintain a current driver's license to drive a government vehicle in the performance of duties may be required. Position is subject to an irregular tour of duty which may include weekends and holidays.
