THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.This National Guard position is for a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) (TITLE 5), Position Description Number T5808500 and is part of the IL MILPO, National Guard.
Requirements:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: MUST possess progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled; experience using computer and automation systems.One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-06 Level MUST possess at least 12 months at the GS-05 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, such as, providing administrative support, type military and non-military correspondence, and edit documentation.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
