About the Position: This position is located in the labratory at the 88th Medical Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.-This position is for 3rd shift, working hours, Monday - Thursday: 2000-0700 (10 hr shifts).
-Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
-Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes working in a clinical laboratory performing a full range of procedures such as specimen processing, chemistry, urinalysis, hematology, immunohematology and/or microbiological testing and calibrating or maintaining clinical laboratory instruments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field directly related to the work of the position, such as medical lab science, chemistry, biology or other medical or science related degrees.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
AND
Licensure: Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologist (AMT) or other board or registry deemed comparable by Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs (OASD(HA)) or their designee as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT); Medical Technologist (MT); or Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) is required.
