Description:
This position is located in the Office of Risk Management and Internal Controls (ORMIC). ORMIC is responsible for coordinating Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), process improvement, and audit follow-up activities throughout the Corporation and ensuring that the FDIC has a strong, effective internal control program.

Requirements:
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting audit follow-up activities with internal or external entities (e.g., GAO or an OIG), managing and establishing internal controls and operational risks, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) reporting, and use of data analysis software.
