The Opportunity

Seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to serve as part of the HR Security and Compliance team, partnering with HR colleagues to drive the strategy and performance of safeguarding the company’s employee technologies and data, and provide guidance on Corporate Policies and applicable regulation through participation, consultation, and training.

This is a great opportunity with visibility to senior leadership within Abbott and a chance to leverage this development experience into successive compliance leadership roles.

What You’ll Work On

  • Keep up to date with Corporate Policies, understand and apply internal controls, and provide guidance to HR colleagues as needed.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity and vendors to stay on top of new threats and risk trends.
  • Deliver cybersecurity training to ensure HR personnel understand cyber risks and their obligations to contain them.
  • Triage and respond to security incidents and implement preventive action plans.
  • Oversee Workday access management and recertification process of HR systems of record.
  • Assist Business Owners with completing required documentation and assessments as part of the System LifeCycle process.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests (especially SOX and SOC2 audit testing).
  • Respond to inquiries from affiliate and technical teams and guide them in regulatory compliance and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Monitor and report cybersecurity metrics/dashboard to support business leaders.
  • Data managed may include employee personal and compensation-related information including employee demographics, skills inventory, absences, overtime, or employee turnover.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • MBA or master’s degree preferred, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in compliance-related activities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with information security risk management.
  • Experience in Internal/External audit is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources operations and systems, especially Workday.
  • Success in developing sustainable solutions in a global environment.
  • Experience in successfully delivering results through collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage business acumen and interpersonal savvy to influence business leaders.

The base pay for this position is $83,000.00 – $166,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
