ADP is hiring a GenAI Principal Cloud Data Warehouse Developer/Architect

  • Are you empathetic to client needs and inspired by transformation and impacting the lives of millions of people every day?
  • Are you looking to join a dynamic, inclusive team environment with a culture of collaboration and belonging?

Well, this may be the role for you. Ready to design what's next?

At ADP, we always put our clients first and our approach to GenAI is no different. Across Sales & Marketing teams, we will leverage GenAI, Data and Machine Learning to identify the next best action, create tailored messaging to address specific client problems, provide real time support with relevant content and context and hyper personalize our outreaches so that clients receive the most relevant and latest information about solutions that can help them overcome very specific challenges and grow their business. In this role, you'll have access to the most unique and one of the largest HCM data sets and do exploratory analysis & build machine learning models. It's more than digits and dials - you're making huge decisions that impact millions of clients.

In this hands-on role, you will work alongside ADP Service Leaders, fellow Architects, Analytics and Data Science teams and Executives to understand their strategic and operational decision-making needs. Then, you'll design and build cutting edge technical solutions while guiding developers and stakeholders as your design is implemented, validated, and socialized.

Every day, you will promote architectural approaches and initiatives that drive service quality, operational effectives and associate productivity aligned with business strategy. Each day, you will start with a scrum and identify priorities within the current sprint or discuss a new project. Then you'll create designs to guide the developers while they code what you design. In most cases, and especially when something is particularly critical, you will be rolling up your sleeves and coding. As a key member of the technical leadership team, you'll communicate and collaborate with your team and cross-functionally, acting as the technical reference.

To thrive in this role, you have 15 plus years of experience in architecture, design, and building large-scale distributed services-oriented systems, particularly data lakes, data warehouses, AI/ML solutions and reporting metadata layers. You'll need versatile knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Azure and Snowflake and how to integrate those platforms with Salesforce CRM through CRM Analytics, Cognos, PowerBI, spokes and operational processes. You’ll also need expert level skills for developing and maintaining data pipelines, devops and data architectures. Our best architects are creative problem solvers who love a challenge. If you get stuck, you find a workaround and keep going. You never give up. This role requires you to have clear, compelling, and influential communication skills to succeed. You will constantly mentor developers and collaborate with peer architects on other teams. You must be adept at teaching, leading, and influencing. As part of our team, you will influence product success and help shape our industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Here's what you can expect on a typical day:

  • Blueprints and Strategy. You will influence and govern current and future architectural blueprints and promote architectural initiatives that help ADP associates around the world deliver the best service experience for our clients, generate loyalty, improve efficiency, and support our business strategy. You will ensure that what we do solves both enterprise and local needs.
  • Scrum. You'll start every day with a scrum, working together to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate design and coding priorities.
  • Coding. Your chief role is to design, but coding is also required. Once you create your design, you will either directly build or guide developers to bring it to life using tools like Databricks, PySpark, Python, R, and AWS components such as EventBridge, Lambda, etc. You will review code, refactor if necessary, and play a hands on role in coding critical areas yourself.
  • Challenges. Inevitable challenges will arise, and we'll rely on you to look for a solution. You love a challenge and revel in the opportunity of finding one.
  • Learning and Teaching. You're the technical expert on the team, so when issues arise, you'll be the one developing a fix. When you present a design, you are open to feedback from your engineer team since you believe collaboration helps strengthen your ideas, especially if someone thought of something you hadn't considered. After all, we all have the same goal, develop the best solutions we can for our clients.
  • Variety of work. There is no typical day. Some days you will dedicate to design or mentoring team members, while others you will spend on projects for quality assurance, security, UX, or any number of other functions.
  • You have 15+ years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
